Recently, our Co-Founder and Continuing Airworthiness Manager, Lucia Soffientini, was invited to deliver a guest lecture to aerospace engineering undergraduates at the Politecnico di Milano. Speaking to students on the cusp of entering the professional world, Lucia shared her experience as an aircraft avionics engineer, who then started a business within continuing airworthiness. She also gave insight into the technical, regulatory and operational challenges that are shaping the future of the sector.

Beyond sharing technical knowledge, the session focused on something equally critical: perspective. Lucia encouraged the students to think beyond their studies to understand the broader ecosystem of aviation, by appreciating the importance of adaptability, curiosity and collaboration in shaping a successful career. Engaging directly with aspiring engineers is a vital step in bridging the gap between academic study and real-world application, which is something that Air Worthy is deeply committed to supporting.

Importantly, this commitment to early career development reflects a wider philosophy within Air Worthy. From our engineering apprenticeship schemes for graduates to our outreach with schools and universities, we view talent development as a continuous process.
